MKA is the sister company of Hawaiian Paddle Sports which offers exclusively private Maui Kayak Tours. We decided we wanted to be able to offer group Kayak Tours in Maui in addition to the Private Kayak Tours Hawaiian Paddle Sports is widely known for.
Maui Kayak Adventures is different in that it combines both Kayaking and Snorkeling in a small group excursions. Which means Maui visitors do not have to only choose from large snorkel tour operations where they get lost in the crowd and private Maui tours that are often pricey for singles, couples or small parties. Maui Kayak Adventures is the perfect balance between these offerings, with 4 locations to choose from, guests arrive and have all the kayak equipment and snorkeling gear setup and ready to go.
Maui Kayak Guide Tim Lara explains that he created this Maui activity because he wanted to fill a void in the activity marketplace of Maui, snorkeling is a great way to see the beauty of Maui just below the surface while kayaking is a ideal way to get to excluded snorkeling spots where we as humans can lesson on footprint by not exposing the wildlife to overcrowding and encroaching of their habitat, which has happened before at very popular snorkeling spots, the fish have no where to go and are inundated by onlookers who might not be educated in the ways of marine environment. Maui Kayak Adventures Kayak Guides are educated and certified in marine environment modalities and are passionate about the subject and motivated to share their passion with clients. It’s not a surprise to discover that Maui Kayak Adventures delivers to visitors a very power punched experience, from the physical exercise to the educational and even cultural knowledge. Maui Kayak Snorkeling Spots
Maui Kayak Adventures provides snorkel kayak tours to four different locations around Maui. In West Maui (Lahaina, Kaanapali, Kapalua, Napili) you can choose between Honolua Bay (closer to Kapalua) on the upper west side and Olowalu on the south facing west side (closer to Lahaina). On the south side of Maui, you also have two options Molokini Crater and Makena, both accessed at Makena. Makena is just south of Wailea and close to Kihei.

“Great morning! I enjoy kayaking but my husband and 19 year old daughter have never been sea kayaking. Our guides Andrew and Donnie were excellent. We had a brief meeting on the beach to go over what to expect and how to manage the kayaks. We had 2 great snorkel trips off the kayaks and everyone managed to get back on the kayaks without difficulties. We snorkeled by Makena and saw 4 sea turtles and lots of other fishes. It was great to be just with our family because the trip was at our speed and tailored to what we wanted to do and see. I also liked that the trip was photographed by our guides.
