Before joining Maui Kayak Adventures, Greg was a fisheries biologist in the Pacific Northwest and a skateboard and snowboard instructor. He is active in the Maui community, serving on Surfrider Maui’s Executive Committee as Blue Water Task Force coordinator. He is also a member of the Sierra Club and advisory board member for the Baldwin Beach Restoration Project. He holds several certifications including water boating safety ambassador, Wilderness First Responder, CPR and Breath Management, First Aid, and AED.
Curtis loves sharing his passion for the ocean and its inhabitants with our visitors. He is a certified open water scuba diver and FII level 2 freediver, with a personal best static breath hold of 4:30 and max depth of 40m/131ft on a single breath. He has been recognized as Ecotour Guide of the Year by the Sustainable Tourism Association of Hawaii.
Zeke is a certified PADI level 1 Freediver, a certified PADI rescue diver, and a certified scuba dive master. He loves spending time in the ocean with incredible wildlife, where he can expand on his naturalist training. One of his favorite memories on the job is having a monk seal approach him while snorkeling. This rare wildlife encounter took his breath away.
Tim’s love for the ocean began at an early age, and he founded Maui Kayak Adventures in 2013. In addition to being involved in the Maui community through several nonprofit boards, he’s a state champion outrigger canoe paddler and former coach at Hawaiian Canoe Club, recreational surfer and stand up paddle boarder, and level 1 free diver. Fun fact: he has paddled to each of the Hawaiian Islands on an outrigger canoe.
As part of the Maui Kayak Adventures team, Mikaela enjoys pushing herself physically and mentally in an outdoor setting. On her days off, you’ll find her in the ocean, skate park, church, or hanging out with friends and enjoying all that Maui has to offer.
A kayaking guide since 1999, he’s been lucky enough to run trips around the world in places like Maui, Tonga, Fiji, Nepal, and Laos. John loves all things about nature and sharing it with friends, like ukulele, Hawaiian and indigenous cultures, meditation, marine life, and especially humpback whales.
